Pursuant to Article 68, paragraph 1, item 2, and in accordance with Articles 70 and 71 of the Tourism Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 17/2019), the Director of the travel agency Champions Travel, with its registered office at 50 Dubljanska Street, Belgrade, Tax Identification No. 108477222, Company Registration No. 21007412, hereby adopts the following on 21 September 2026:
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
1. PRE-CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
By signing the standard travel contract and confirmation (hereinafter: the Contract), the signatory confirms, on behalf of all travellers named in the Contract (hereinafter: the Traveller), that they have received these General Terms and Conditions of Travel (hereinafter: the General Terms), the Travel Guarantee certificate and the travel programme prepared and published in advance (hereinafter: the Programme); that they and all travellers named in the Contract are familiar with these documents and accept them in full; and that they have been informed of the optional travel and health insurance available.
The provisions of these General Terms form an integral part of the Contract between the Traveller and the travel agency Champions Travel, acting as the travel organiser (hereinafter: the Organiser), and are binding on both contracting parties, except where provisions are set out in a separate written contract or in the Programme.
Before the Contract is concluded, the Organiser may amend the description of its services in the Programme at any time and shall notify the Traveller of this without delay, within a reasonable period, in writing, on paper and on another durable medium. The Traveller and the Organiser jointly acknowledge that the Traveller has been informed, within a reasonable period before the conclusion of the Contract, of any changes to the information in the Programme.
If there is a difference between the Traveller’s booking application and the Organiser’s amended proposal, the new Programme shall be deemed a new offer and shall remain binding on the Organiser for the next 48 hours. If the Traveller does not notify the Organiser within that period whether they accept the newly offered Programme, the Contract shall be deemed terminated by mutual agreement. Before the Contract is signed, the Organiser has informed the Traveller of their rights under the Travel Guarantee in the event of insolvency and in respect of compensation for damage.
2. BOOKINGS PAYMENTS AND THE CONTRACT
The Traveller shall submit a booking application in writing, on a durable medium, by email or by fax. The Traveller may book a trip at the Organiser’s registered office, branches or separate business premises, or through travel agencies that have entered into an agreement with the Organiser for the indirect sale of travel arrangements (hereinafter: the Intermediary). An Intermediary offering and selling a travel arrangement must specify the capacity in which it is acting in the Travel Programme and the Travel Confirmation. The Traveller’s booking application becomes valid when confirmed by the conclusion of the Contract in the same manner in which the application was submitted, and by payment of an advance equal to 50% of the package price, unless otherwise agreed. Unless otherwise agreed, the balance of the agreed price is payable 15 days before the start of the trip. If the Traveller fails to pay the full amount by the deadline, they shall be deemed to have cancelled the trip in accordance with Section 12 of these General Terms. Each advance payment shall be recorded as a payment for all travellers, rather than for any one particular traveller named in the Contract.
Upon conclusion of the Contract, the Programme becomes an integral part thereof and may not be amended unless the contracting parties expressly agree otherwise or the changes result from force majeure. If the Contract is cancelled or amended, the cancellation provisions and amendments shall apply to all travellers named in the Contract.
For determining whether a payment has been made on time, the relevant date is the date of payment into the Organiser’s or Intermediary’s account. If the full amount, the advance payment or the remaining balance of the package price is not paid on time, the Organiser may withdraw from the Contract and seek compensation in accordance with Section 12 of these General Terms.
3. OBLIGATIONS AND RIGHTS OF THE ORGANISER
• In addition to the services included in the Programme, the Contract shall record any special requests made by the Traveller that have been accepted by the Organiser alone.
• In response to a timely and justified written complaint or objection by the Traveller, the Organiser shall pay the actual proportionate difference between the agreed price and the trip price reduced in proportion to the non-performance or incomplete performance of the Contract (hereinafter: the Price Reduction), in accordance with the law and these General Terms. This shall not apply where failures in the performance of the Contract are attributable to the Traveller; to a third party that was not a contracted direct service provider involved in implementing the Programme; to force majeure or unforeseen events beyond the Organiser’s control whose consequences are unavoidable despite the exercise of due care; or to other events that the Organiser could neither foresee nor overcome.
• Before departure, the Organiser shall provide the name, address and telephone number of its local representative or local partner agency and, exceptionally and where necessary, the Organiser’s address and telephone number for providing emergency assistance to the Traveller.
• The Organiser is not responsible for services provided to the Traveller by other persons outside the Programme.
• Oral or other information that differs from the information contained in the Programme, the Contract, a Separate Contract or these General Terms shall not be binding on the Organiser and may not form the basis of any objection or complaint by the Traveller.
4. OBLIGATIONS AND RIGHTS OF THE TRAVELLER
• The Traveller and all persons named in the Contract shall familiarise themselves thoroughly with the Programme, the General Terms and the Travel Guarantee, and shall state any special requests not covered by the published Programme.
• The Traveller shall obtain any optional travel insurance policies independently, as the Organiser neither provides nor assumes responsibility for them.
• The Traveller shall pay the agreed price under the conditions, within the deadlines and in the manner stipulated in the Contract.
• The Traveller shall provide the Organiser, in good time, with accurate and complete information and documents required to organise the trip, and shall guarantee that they, their documents, luggage and other relevant items meet the requirements laid down by the regulations of Serbia, the transit countries and the destination country, including border, customs, health, currency and other regulations.
• The Traveller shall compensate direct service providers or third parties for any damage caused by their breach of legislation, other regulations or these General Terms.
• The Traveller shall designate another person to travel in their place in good time, reimburse the Organiser for the actual costs caused by the substitution, and remain jointly and severally liable for the unpaid portion of the agreed price.
• The Traveller shall report any justified objection on site without delay, normally in writing, to the Organiser or to the persons specified in the travel documentation.
• Before concluding the Contract, the Traveller shall obtain information about countries considered to present a high or moderate risk through the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (www.msp.gov.rs) and by other means.
• The Traveller shall contact the Organiser’s authorised representatives to confirm the exact departure and return times no later than 24 hours, but no earlier than 48 hours, in advance.
5. PRICES AND SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Organiser sells the travel arrangement at a selling price expressed as a single amount. The selling price may be expressed in Serbian dinars or in a foreign currency. Where prices are expressed in a foreign currency and payments are calculated in dinars, the official middle exchange rate for the dinar on the payment date shall apply. Prices are determined in accordance with the Organiser’s business policy and may not be the subject of a complaint by the Traveller.
Services provided abroad that have not been agreed and paid for in advance shall be paid for by the Traveller on site, directly to the service provider.
The selling price stated in the Contract includes all costs that are an integral and necessary part of implementing the travel arrangement. It includes a combination of at least two services, prepared and published in advance, of the average quality customary for the destination and facilities concerned, namely accommodation, meals, transport, transfers, the regular services of a representative at the destination, and the preparation and organisation of the trip. These are expressed as a single amount payable by the Traveller (hereinafter: the Standard Services). Unless otherwise specifically agreed (hereinafter: a Separate Contract), the package price does not include the costs of a local tourist guide; special services of the Organiser’s representative; an entertainment coordinator; optional programmes; the use of sun loungers and parasols; obtaining visas; admission to venues and events; traveller and luggage insurance; room service; minibar use; air conditioning; recreational, medical, telephone and other services; reservation of a particular seat in a vehicle; accommodation in a single room; rooms with particular characteristics, such as a view, floor, size or balcony; additional meals; and other similar services (hereinafter: the Special Services).
The Intermediary is not authorised to arrange, on behalf of the Organiser, Special Services that are not included in the Programme.
The conditions governing children’s discounts and other benefits specifically offered in the Programme are determined by the direct service providers and must be interpreted strictly. For example, for children under two years of age, the relevant date is the calendar date on which the child turns two in relation to the start date of the trip, rather than the date on which the Contract is concluded. If the Traveller’s age is stated incorrectly, the Organiser is entitled to charge the difference up to the full trip price.
The price does not include, and the Organiser shall not be liable to the Traveller for, optional services or services provided subsequently and charged by a foreign partner or direct service provider that were not included in the Programme or a Separate Contract, or for the Traveller’s participation in sports and other leisure activities.
If the Traveller does not notify the Organiser in writing within the specified period that they are withdrawing from the Contract, they shall be deemed to have accepted the new price. Acceptance may also be expressed by making a payment.
6. PRICE CHANGES AND THE TRAVELLER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL
If the Traveller cancels the trip in good time, between 90 and 45 days before departure, the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of the administrative costs incurred. The Organiser may request an increase in the agreed price before the start of the trip if, after conclusion of the Contract, there has been a change in the currency exchange rate where the price is expressed in dinars, immediately upon learning that the service provider has increased its prices. If the Organiser increases the agreed price, the Traveller is entitled either to request a replacement with a similar Programme from the Organiser’s offer at no additional charge, or to terminate the Contract by written cancellation without paying compensation for damage. If the Traveller does not notify the Organiser in writing, within a reasonable period not exceeding 48 hours, that they accept the change in the agreed price, they shall be deemed to have terminated the Contract. Subsequent reductions in Programme prices shall not apply to Contracts already concluded and may not form the basis of any complaint by the Traveller against the Organiser.
7. CLASSIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
All services specified in the Programme are Standard Services of the average quality customary and specific to the destinations, locations and facilities concerned. If the Traveller wishes to receive services outside the Programme, a Separate Contract must be concluded for those services.
The Organiser is not responsible for descriptions of services in catalogues, publications or on the websites of the Intermediary or direct service providers, such as hotels, carriers and other persons, unless it has expressly referred the Traveller to them. The Organiser is responsible only for descriptions of services contained in its own Programmes or on its own website. Accommodation establishments and units, vehicles and other services are described according to the official classification in the country concerned at the time the Programme is published. These classifications differ and are not comparable between destinations, or even within the same destination. Meals, comfort and service quality depend primarily on the package price, the chosen destination and the classification determined under local or national regulations, and are beyond the Organiser’s supervision and control.
The start and end dates of the trip specified in the Programme do not imply a full-day stay at the accommodation establishment or destination. Departure and arrival times and accommodation check-in and check-out times depend on border-crossing procedures, road conditions, permits issued by the competent authorities, technical and weather conditions, or force majeure. These circumstances may affect the departure times of aircraft and other means of transport and are beyond the Organiser’s control; the Organiser therefore bears no responsibility in such cases. The first and last days of the Programme are intended for travel and do not imply a stay at the hotel or destination; they merely indicate the calendar dates on which the trip begins and ends. The Organiser therefore bears no responsibility for evening, night or early-morning flights, late-evening room check-in, early-morning hotel departure and similar circumstances.
For packages involving air travel, the agreed start time of the trip is the time at which travellers meet at the airport, which shall be at least two hours before the first departure time published by the airline. If the stated flight departure time changes, the Organiser bears no responsibility; national and international air transport regulations shall apply. Charter flight departures, arrivals, take-offs and landings generally take place late in the evening or early in the morning. If, for example, the agreed first or last meal is provided at the accommodation establishment as a cold meal, the Contract shall be deemed to have been performed in full.
The services of a tourist guide, tour escort, local guide, entertainment coordinator or local representative do not imply their continuous presence throughout the day. They comprise contact and necessary assistance to the Traveller during predetermined periods of availability, announced on a noticeboard or by another appropriate means. Instructions and directions given by the Organiser’s authorised representative, particularly concerning departure times, transport, accommodation, legislation and other regulations, are binding on the Traveller. Failure to comply constitutes a breach of the Contract, and the Traveller shall bear all resulting consequences and damage in full.
Changes or variations in individual services that are not brought about by the Organiser’s own decision are permitted, provided that they do not adversely affect the overall concept of the agreed trip. If, for the reasons stated above, a flight or other transport must be moved to a different airport or location, the Organiser must offer the Traveller suitable alternative transport through to the completion of the trip at no additional cost to the Traveller, and must pay any difference in price between the agreed services and those provided (Article 103 of the Consumer Protection Act). The Organiser shall bear all alternative transport costs, at least to the value of a second-class transport ticket.
Where a third party replaces a person who has booked a particular travel service, the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of the necessary costs incurred as a result of the change. The Traveller and the substitute traveller shall be jointly and severally liable for payment of the agreed price and the costs of the substitution. The Organiser shall not accept a substitute traveller if the change is not made in good time, if there are special requirements relating to the trip, or if the substitution does not comply with legislation or other legal regulations.
8. ACCOMMODATION MEALS AND TRANSPORT
8.1. Accommodation
Accommodation must be specified in the Travel Programme, subject to the following:
• The Traveller may be accommodated in any officially registered accommodation unit within the establishment described in the Programme, irrespective of the Traveller’s individual characteristics, the establishment’s location and position, the floor, proximity to noise or parking areas, or other characteristics.
• Check-in shall be after 16:00 at the earliest on the first day of the service, and check-out shall be no later than 09:00 on the final day of the service. The Traveller is not entitled to a refund of either the hotel service price or the transport price if they temporarily or prematurely leave the accommodation establishment of their own accord or through their own fault.
• Three-bed and four-bed accommodation units, including rooms, studios and apartments, are determined in accordance with the classification and regulations of the country concerned. The operation of air conditioning varies between destinations and establishments and does not imply continuous operation 24 hours a day.
• The Organiser shall not be liable to the Traveller for damage resulting from the Traveller’s failure to comply with legislation, prescribed rules or practices established by carriers, hotel operators or other direct service providers.
• After the start of the trip, for unforeseen and justified reasons, the agreed accommodation may be replaced without the Traveller’s consent by accommodation of the same or a higher category at the agreed location, at the Organiser’s expense. Accommodation in a lower-category establishment may be provided with the Traveller’s consent and a refund of the price difference proportionate to the lower accommodation category.
• The Traveller undertakes to familiarise themselves with and comply with the establishment’s rules of conduct, particularly those concerning the deposit and safekeeping of money, valuables and valuable belongings; bringing food and drink into rooms; maintaining order; checking in and out at the specified times; the number of persons in a room; and other matters. The Organiser is not responsible for damage arising on these grounds.
8.2. Meals
Meal arrangements must be specified in the Travel Programme, subject to the following:
• The variety and quality of food and meal service depend primarily on the package price, the establishment’s category, the destination and local customs, regardless of whether meals are provided as a buffet or by table service from a menu.
• All-inclusive and other services are provided according to the hotel’s internal rules and need not be identical even within the same category at the same destination. The Organiser has informed the Traveller in writing of the services included in the all-inclusive arrangement.
• Unless otherwise specified in the Programme, breakfast means a continental breakfast.
• If hotel occupancy is below 30%, meals may be provided by table service instead of a buffet, where this is provided for in the Travel Programme.
Meal arrangements at the accommodation establishment are the same regardless of whether the persons travelling under the Contract are children, older persons or persons with special needs. If the Traveller makes a different arrangement directly with the meal provider on site, the Organiser bears no responsibility for meal services provided under that arrangement.
8.3. Transport
Unless otherwise specifically agreed:
• Transport and transfers are provided by standard tourist coaches or other means of transport, in accordance with the regulations and criteria applicable in the country in which the carrier engaged by the Organiser is registered. The carrier’s regulations, principles and rules shall apply. For example, travel by any means of transport does not imply numbered seats or the inclusion of food and drink during the journey. The Traveller must accept any seat offered in the vehicle.
• The Organiser may engage any type of tourist coach that meets the regulatory requirements, including standard and double-decker coaches, as well as other means of transport where circumstances so require. If a minibus is used, the number of seats must be specified.
• Coach toilets may not be used while the vehicle is moving unless permission has been granted. The Traveller must compensate on site for any damage caused to the vehicle through their negligence. Before travel, the Traveller must check their identity documents, travel documents and luggage and ensure that they are in order, and must notify the guide or tour escort of any irregularity identified.
• The Traveller must behave appropriately in the vehicle and comply with traffic regulations and passenger transport rules. Otherwise, the Organiser may refuse to carry them or remove them from the vehicle in the presence of the police, and the Organiser shall have no obligation to provide onward transport to the destination. If the Traveller abandons the trip after being removed from the vehicle, the cancellation scale in Section 12 of these General Terms shall apply.
• The route, breaks, stopping locations and duration of stops shall be determined by the guide, tour escort or driver. Due to unforeseeable, unavoidable, safety-related or similar circumstances, the guide, tour escort or driver may alter the transport schedule, itinerary or order of visits to sites. The Traveller must follow the instructions of the driver, guide or tour escort, including instructions on the duration of breaks.
• A discrepancy between the personal details supplied to the Organiser and those in the Traveller’s passport, including the Traveller’s name, may require a new airline ticket to be issued at an additional cost, or may even render the ticket invalid. The Traveller shall bear the consequences. The Traveller is responsible for their airline ticket from the moment it is handed to them at the airport or travel agency. Neither a duplicate airline ticket nor a duplicate boarding pass can be issued. The Traveller shall bear all consequences of their loss or disappearance during the trip.
• Airline tickets and other special transport tickets are valid only on the dates and at the times stated on them.
• The carriage of the Traveller by air, rail, sea, river or lake is performed by and is the direct responsibility of the respective carriers, as determined by the regulations and practices governing those forms of transport, and is beyond the Organiser’s control and responsibility.
9. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND LEGAL REGULATIONS
For travel abroad, the Traveller must hold a valid travel document with at least six months’ validity remaining after the end of the trip, and must provide the Organiser in good time with accurate and complete information and documents required to obtain a visa, where the Organiser is arranging it. Neither the staff of the Organiser’s agency nor those of the Intermediary are authorised to establish the validity of travel or other documents. Where the Organiser acts as an intermediary in submitting documentation, it does not guarantee that a visa will be granted or granted in time, and bears no responsibility for invalid travel or other documents or if border authorities or immigration services refuse the Traveller entry, transit or continued stay. If the Traveller loses their travel documents or they are stolen during the trip, the Traveller must obtain replacements in good time at their own expense and bear all resulting adverse consequences.
The Traveller must agree Special Services relating to their health, such as a particular diet or specific accommodation features, because of a chronic illness, allergy, disability or other condition. Otherwise, the Organiser assumes no special obligation or liability, or responsibility for damage arising on those grounds. For travel to countries with special requirements, including mandatory vaccinations or specific documents, the Traveller is responsible for obtaining the required vaccinations and the relevant certificates, and shall bear responsibility for any resulting damage.
The Traveller must strictly comply with the customs, foreign-exchange and other regulations of the Republic of Serbia, transit countries and countries in which they stay. If they are unable to continue the trip or their stay, or if any other consequences arise, the Traveller alone shall bear all consequences and costs.
If the trip cannot take place because of the Traveller’s failure to comply with the provisions of this section, Section 12 of these General Terms shall apply.
10. LUGGAGE
The Traveller’s attention is specifically drawn to the following: luggage is carried free of charge up to the weight limit set by the airline. The Traveller shall pay for excess luggage at the carrier’s applicable rates specified in the Travel Programme. Transporting special luggage from the airport to the hotel and back is the sole responsibility of the Traveller. Special security rules for hand luggage apply at all airports. For further information, the Traveller is advised to contact Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport on 011/209-4444 or visit www.beg.aero. The Traveller must report luggage damage or loss during flights immediately on site to the relevant airport lost-luggage service, as airlines generally refuse compensation unless a damage report form has been completed and submitted. The Traveller must report any loss, damage or disappearance of luggage during the trip to the Organiser’s representative.
For coach travel, the Traveller may take two pieces of luggage per person occupying a seat and shall hand them to the Organiser’s authorised representative. Children under two years of age are not entitled to free luggage carriage. The Traveller is responsible for looking after belongings brought into the vehicle as personal luggage, for handing over and collecting luggage entrusted to the carrier’s authorised representative, and for luggage brought into the accommodation establishment. The Traveller may exercise any related rights with or through the Organiser, or directly with the carrier, accommodation provider or insurer, in accordance with applicable international and domestic regulations. Carrying luggage from the parking location to the accommodation unit is the Traveller’s responsibility. The vehicle will stop as close to the accommodation establishment as possible. The Organiser is not responsible for items left behind in the vehicle.
Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, the Organiser bears no responsibility for expensive items not normally taken on a trip, unless it has expressly accepted them for safekeeping. The Traveller is therefore advised not to bring valuable items on the trip; if they do, they should duly deposit them for safekeeping or keep them with them.
The Traveller must clearly label their luggage with their personal details and must not leave personal documents, belongings or valuables in a parked vehicle, as the Organiser is not responsible for their disappearance. Documents, gold, valuables, technical equipment and medicines should be carried only in hand luggage and, where possible, deposited in a safe during the stay.
The Traveller must report any loss, damage or disappearance of luggage during the trip to the Organiser’s representative.
11. AMENDMENT AND TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT BY THE ORGANISER
11.1. Before the start of the trip
The Organiser may amend the Travel Programme only where the changes are caused by extraordinary circumstances that the Organiser could not foresee, avoid or remedy. Costs arising from amendments to the Programme shall be borne by the Organiser, and any reduction in costs shall benefit the Traveller. The agreed accommodation may be replaced only with an establishment of the same category, or, at the Organiser’s expense, of a higher category, at the agreed accommodation location. If substantial changes are made to the Travel Programme without justified reasons, the Organiser must refund in full everything received from the Traveller if the Traveller withdraws from the trip for that reason (Article 879 of the Law on Obligations).
The Organiser is entitled to terminate the Contract in the following cases:
• An insufficient number of travellers have booked, where the required number is expressly stated in the Travel Programme, provided that the Traveller is notified before the start of the trip within the period specified in the Programme.
• It is impossible to fulfil the contractual obligations for reasons for which neither contracting party is responsible and which, had they existed when the Programme was published, would have constituted a justified reason for the Organiser not to publish the Programme or conclude the Contract.
In such cases, the Organiser must refund the Traveller’s payments no later than 15 days after cancellation.
By accepting a new Contract, the Traveller waives any claims against the Organiser arising from the Contract originally concluded.
11.2. During the trip
During the trip, the Organiser reserves the right to change the day or time of travel, alter the route and make necessary amendments to the Programme if travel conditions change, including changes to flight schedules, forced landings, congestion at borders or in traffic, closure of a site scheduled for a visit, changes to visa requirements, the security situation, natural disasters, other extraordinary circumstances beyond the parties’ control, or force majeure. The Organiser must notify the Traveller without delay by the most appropriate means and shall not be obliged to pay damages or any other compensation to the Traveller. In these cases, the Organiser shall bear any additional costs of amending the Programme.
If the Traveller disrupts the trip through grossly improper conduct despite having been warned, the Organiser may seek reimbursement of any costs incurred.
If extraordinary circumstances arise during the trip that could not have been foreseen and may be regarded as force majeure, including terrorist attacks, a state of emergency, explosions, infection, epidemics or other illnesses, natural disasters, climatic conditions and similar events, both contracting parties are entitled to terminate the Contract. In such cases, the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of actual costs incurred and is obliged to pay half the cost of the Traveller’s return transport. The Organiser assumes no responsibility if the Traveller refuses the return journey offered using the transport provided.
12. TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT BY THE TRAVELLER
12.1. Before the start of the trip
The Traveller is entitled to withdraw from the trip and must notify the Organiser in writing in the same manner in which the Contract was concluded. Unless otherwise specified in the Programme, the date of written cancellation of the Contract shall be used to calculate the compensation due to the Organiser, expressed as a percentage of the total trip price under the following cancellation scale:
If the Traveller cancels in good time, namely within 14 days of concluding the travel contract and at least 45 days before the start of the trip, the Organiser is entitled only to reimbursement of administrative costs.
• 5% if the trip is cancelled from 14 days after conclusion of the Contract up to 45 days before the start of the trip.
• 10% if the trip is cancelled between 44 and 30 days before the start of the trip.
• 20% if cancelled between 29 and 20 days before the start of the trip.
• 40% if cancelled between 19 and 15 days before the start of the trip.
• 80% if cancelled between 14 and 10 days before the start of the trip.
• 90% if cancelled between 9 and 6 days before the start of the trip.
• 100% if cancelled between 5 and 0 days before the start of the trip or during the trip.
The Organiser may specify the cancellation periods and compensation amounts in greater detail in the Travel Programme, depending on the services included in the particular travel arrangement, including early-booking and last-minute arrangements. The Traveller must be informed of these before the Contract is concluded, in accordance with the law.
As an exception to the above, the following cancellation scales shall apply:
a. Cruises
Cancellation more than 180 days before the start of the trip is considered timely, in which case the Organiser is entitled to administrative costs of up to EUR 100 per person.
• Between 179 and 120 days before departure, the Traveller shall pay 15% of the trip price.
• Between 119 and 90 days before departure, the Traveller shall pay 30% of the trip price.
• Between 89 and 60 days before departure, the Traveller shall pay 45% of the trip price.
• Between 59 and 30 days before departure, the Traveller shall pay 75% of the trip price.
• Between 29 and 0 days before departure, the Traveller shall pay 100% of the trip price.
• After departure, on the day of travel, in the event of a no-show or withdrawal during the trip, the Traveller shall pay 100% of the trip price.
b. Recreational holidays for preschool children outdoor education trips and school and university excursions where the entire Contract is cancelled
Cancellation more than 120 days before the start of the trip is considered timely, in which case the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of administrative costs.
• 20% if cancelled between 119 and 90 days before the start of the trip.
• 50% if cancelled between 89 and 60 days before the start of the trip.
• 80% if cancelled between 59 and 45 days before the start of the trip.
• 100% if cancelled from 44 days before the start of the trip up to departure, or during the trip.
Changes to essential elements of the Contract, including the agreed destination, travel date, means of transport, accommodation establishment or accommodation unit, as well as failure to obtain a visa, non-payment of the agreed price and similar circumstances, shall be deemed withdrawal from the trip by the Traveller.
If the Traveller withdraws wholly or partly from the travel organisation contract, before or during the trip, because of circumstances they could neither avoid nor remedy and which, had they existed at the time the Contract was concluded, would have constituted a justified reason not to conclude it, the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of actual costs. Justified reasons for the Traveller’s withdrawal from the Contract are:
1. Sudden illness of the Traveller, or serious illness of a blood relative in the direct line or up to and including the second degree in the collateral line, a spouse, a relative by marriage up to and including the second degree, an adopted child or an adoptive parent.
2. The death of the Traveller’s blood relative in the direct line or up to and including the second degree in the collateral line, a spouse, a relative by marriage up to and including the second degree, an adopted child or an adoptive parent.
3. Natural disasters in the country of departure or destination.
4. An officially declared state of emergency in the country of departure or destination.
5. An emergency situation in the country of departure or destination.
In such cases, the Organiser must explain the amount of compensation upon the Traveller’s request.
In the above cases, the Traveller must provide the Organiser with evidence used to exercise health insurance rights on the grounds of temporary incapacity for work, namely a certificate from the Traveller’s designated general practitioner or a discharge report from an inpatient healthcare institution expressly confirming the sudden illness and inability to travel; or a death certificate; or a summons to a military exercise, as applicable. Local terrorist attacks, explosions, infection, epidemics and other illnesses, natural disasters, climatic conditions and similar events shall not be considered justified reasons for the Traveller to cancel or interrupt the trip unless a state of emergency has been declared by the competent authorities of the Traveller’s home country or the country of travel. Sudden illness means a sudden and unexpected illness, infectious disease or organic disorder established by an authorised physician, arising after conclusion of the travel contract, unrelated to and not resulting from a pre-existing health condition, and of a nature that requires treatment and hospitalisation and prevents the Traveller from starting or taking the agreed trip. If the Traveller provides a suitable substitute, or the Organiser arranges a substitute, the Organiser must refund the Traveller’s payments in full, deducting only actual costs incurred. In the event of a substitution, the Organiser must conclude a Contract with the new traveller. Where cancellation is covered by an insurance policy, the Traveller shall exercise their rights directly with the insurer.
Upon withdrawal from the Contract, amounts paid to the Organiser for assistance in obtaining visas, as well as amounts paid in respect of statutory and other obligations, shall not be refunded.
12.2. After the start of the trip
If, because of cancellation, the Traveller fails through their own fault to use some of the agreed services, the Organiser shall attempt to obtain reimbursement from the service provider for those unused services. If the service provider does not refund the money, the Traveller is not entitled to a refund of the corresponding portion of the price for the unused part of the trip. If the service or amount concerned is insignificant, the Organiser is released from this obligation. If a substantial portion of the services specified in the Contract is not provided through the Organiser’s fault, the Organiser must take appropriate preventive measures to enable the trip to continue, or offer the Traveller other suitable services through to the end of the trip at no additional cost to the Traveller, in accordance with Section 14 of these General Terms and without prejudice to the Traveller’s other statutory rights.
13. INSURANCE DEPOSIT AND TRAVEL GUARANTEE
Travel insurance is not included in the trip price. The Organiser recommends taking out insurance that is not required by law, namely travel liability insurance, trip cancellation insurance, health insurance and accident insurance. If the Organiser or Intermediary offers travel insurance, it acts solely as an intermediary. The insurance contract is concluded exclusively between the Traveller and the insurance company, to which any claims must be submitted directly. The Traveller should read the insurance terms and the obligations under the insurance contract. Insurance premiums are not part of the trip price and are payable immediately upon conclusion of the insurance contract. By signing the Contract, the Traveller confirms that they have been informed about and advised to obtain a travel insurance package. A travel insurance package does not necessarily include health insurance; the Traveller is therefore advised to obtain it independently, as its absence may lead border authorities to refuse onward travel or may require the Traveller to bear substantial costs of medical treatment.
In accordance with the Tourism Act, the Organiser maintains a deposit of EUR 2,000.00 and a Travel Guarantee for a Category A licence in the amount of EUR 30,000.00, providing the following coverage:
A. In the event of the Organiser’s insolvency
1. The costs of necessary accommodation, meals and the Traveller’s return from the trip to the point of departure, in Serbia or abroad.
2. Claims for the Traveller’s payments under a travel contract that the Organiser has not performed.
3. Claims for the Traveller’s payments where the Traveller cancels the trip in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Travel.
4. Claims for the difference between the amounts paid under a travel contract and the amounts reduced in proportion to the non-performance or incomplete performance of services included in the Travel Programme.
B. Compensation for damage
Compensation for damage caused to the Traveller by non-performance, partial performance or improper performance of the Organiser’s obligations specified in the General Terms and the Travel Programme, covering:
1. Claims for the Traveller’s payments under a travel contract that the Organiser has not performed.
2. Claims for the difference between the amounts paid under a travel contract and the amounts reduced in proportion to the non-performance or incomplete performance of services included in the Travel Programme.
The Travel Guarantee covers the period from its date of issue until completion of the trip, that is, until the Traveller returns to the agreed destination. The guarantee is provided under the Agreement on the Travel Guarantee and Consent to the Issuance of a Bank Guarantee, No. 18/2026, dated 2 September 2026, concluded with the Guarantee Recipient, the National Association of Travel Agencies, Business Association YUTA, 14 Kondina Street, Belgrade. Bank Guarantee No. 8525783, dated 24 September 2021, was issued by Banca Intesa AD. Amendment No. 5 changes the expiry provision to read as follows: “Expiry: 12 October 2027 plus six months, i.e. no later than 12 April 2028, when this guarantee expires in full and automatically.”
The Bank Guarantee Recipient may call upon the bank to make payment within a period not exceeding six months from the date on which the bank guarantee ceased to be valid. The Traveller, as beneficiary of the bank guarantee, shall invoke it without delay, and in any event within 14 days of the occurrence of a covered event, through the Bank Guarantee Recipient, the National Association of Travel Agencies, Business Association YUTA, telephone 011 3228 686, in writing or by telegram to YUTA, 14 Kondina Street, Belgrade, or by email to garancijaputovanja@yuta.rs.
(The Traveller shall exercise their right to compensation for damage on the basis of a final and enforceable court judgment, an arbitral award or another out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute, in accordance with these General Terms and the YUTA General Terms.)
14. ASSISTANCE COMPLAINTS LEGAL ACTION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The Organiser must prominently display, at the point of sale, a notice explaining how and where complaints may be submitted, and must ensure the presence of a person authorised to receive complaints during business hours.
The Organiser must keep a record of complaints received and retain it for at least two years from the date the Traveller submits a complaint.
The Traveller must report any justified objection on site without delay to the Organiser’s local representative. In urgent cases, if that representative is not currently available, the objection must be reported directly to the service provider, such as the carrier or hotel operator. If those persons are not specified in the travel documents, the Traveller must contact the Organiser directly.
For assistance, emergencies, other matters and complaints, the Traveller may contact the Organiser on +381 11 4048 570 or +381 11 4048 571 on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00, Central European Time, or by email at info@championstravel.rs. For emergencies and similar matters, the Traveller must provide the Contract number, destination, accommodation establishment name, travellers’ names, and an address, telephone number or other contact details.
The Traveller must cooperate in good faith during the complaints procedure to resolve the problem within a reasonable period, depending on the nature of the complaint, from 24 to 48 hours. Examples include a faulty refrigerator, loss of electricity or water, an inadequately cleaned apartment or other deficiencies. The Traveller must accept an offered solution that corresponds to the agreed service.
If the cause of the complaint is not remedied on site, the Traveller and the Organiser’s representative shall jointly draw up and sign a written record in two copies. The Traveller shall retain one copy.
Local representatives are not authorised to accept any compensation claims; only the Organiser may do so.
The Traveller may not claim a proportionate price reduction, termination of the Contract or compensation for damage if, through a failure to act in good faith, they do not notify the authorised representative and the Organiser of discrepancies between the services provided and those agreed, on site, without delay, in good time and in the prescribed manner.
If the deficiencies are not remedied on site, the Traveller must submit a justified and documented complaint within 15 days of the end of the trip, or within 30 days of identifying the deficiencies, and request a refund of the price difference between the agreed services and those not provided or only partly provided. The supporting documentation shall include the written complaint made on site, receipts for expenses paid, a claim broken down by type of service not provided, with specific facts and quantified amounts for each individual traveller, witnesses and other evidence. Each Traveller who is a signatory to the Contract shall submit the complaint individually, on their own behalf and on behalf of the persons named in the Contract, or through a person holding a valid power of attorney, as the Organiser will not consider group complaints.
The Traveller is advised to submit the complaint in writing to the Organiser’s address at 50 Dubljanska Street, Belgrade.
The Traveller may make a complaint orally at the point of sale where the travel contract was concluded or at another location designated for receiving complaints, electronically or on a durable medium, together with documentation supporting the complaint.
The Organiser is obliged to process only timely, substantiated and documented complaints submitted by the Traveller whose causes could not be remedied on site during the trip. It must issue written confirmation or electronically acknowledge receipt of the complaint, or inform the Traveller of the number under which the complaint has been entered in the complaints register.
The Organiser must provide the Traveller with a written response within eight days of receiving a duly submitted complaint and pay the price difference within 15 days. The Organiser may extend this period with the Traveller’s consent and must record the extension in the complaints register.
If the complaint is incomplete and requires correction, the Organiser shall respond by requesting that the Traveller correct it within the specified period, failing which the complaint may not be acted upon.
In accordance with good business practice, the Organiser shall also respond within the statutory period to complaints that are late, unfounded or improperly submitted.
A Price Reduction granted in response to the Traveller’s complaint may amount only to the value of the disputed part of the service that was not provided. It may not cover services already used or equal the entire agreed price. Compensation paid in respect of a justified and timely complaint under the Contract shall be proportionate to the extent of the non-performance or partial performance of the service. If the Traveller accepts payment by way of a proportionate Price Reduction or another form of compensation, they shall be deemed to have accepted the Organiser’s proposal for an amicable settlement of the dispute and to have waived all further claims against the Organiser relating to the disputed matter. This applies regardless of whether they have signed written confirmation of the refund containing a clause on the final settlement of the parties’ dispute. A refund of the price difference shall be deemed to have been made and an agreement with the Traveller reached in accordance with the law, these General Terms and the YUTA General Terms where the Organiser has offered the Traveller the actual price difference for inadequately provided services, based on the direct service provider’s price list applicable on the date the travel contract was concluded and other available evidence. The Organiser shall accordingly be deemed to have acted in accordance with applicable law.
Any request by the Traveller to initiate proceedings before other persons before the expiry of the period for resolving the complaint shall be considered premature. Informing the press or other media shall be considered a breach of the Contract.
15. TRAVEL PROGRAMMES AT THE TRAVELLER’S REQUEST INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND SEPARATE SERVICES
15.1. Individual travel arrangements
An individual travel arrangement is a combination of two or more travel services determined or prepared by the organiser of an individual trip at the Traveller’s request, lasting more than 24 hours, or less than 24 hours if it includes one overnight stay. It also includes one or more overnight stays comprising accommodation only, on specified dates or for a specified duration, sold at a single price.
The contract for organising an individual travel arrangement comprises the General Terms and Conditions of Travel, the accepted offer for the individual Travel Programme, the Travel Confirmation, the voucher and other documents supplied by the Organiser to the Traveller in person, electronically or on a durable medium.
Before the start of the trip, the Traveller is entitled to withdraw and must notify the Organiser in writing in the same manner in which the Contract was concluded. The date of written cancellation shall be used to calculate the compensation due to the Organiser, expressed as a percentage according to the time remaining before the start of the trip.
The availability of a refund and the compensation amount, expressed as a percentage of the total trip price, depend on the standards and rules of the selected and contracted direct service provider, namely the hotel service provider and airline, as well as the fare at which the air transport was charged.
In the Travel Programme offer, the Organiser must clearly inform the Traveller of the possibility of obtaining a refund and the compensation payable to the Organiser if the Traveller cancels. It must present the selected hotel’s rules and standards and the rights and obligations relating to refunds for air transport, in accordance with the agreed fare and airline. By accepting the travel contract on their own behalf and on behalf of the persons identified in the Contract as service users, the Traveller accepts the standards and rules of the selected and contracted hotel service provider and airline, as well as the rights and obligations under the fare at which air transport was contracted.
If the Traveller cancels in good time as specified in greater detail in the Travel Programme, the Organiser is entitled to reimbursement of the administrative costs incurred.
If the Organiser does not specify particular cancellation periods in the Travel Programme offer, the periods in Section 12.1 of these General Terms shall apply.
15.2. Separate services and bookings on request
If the Traveller books only one service that does not include an overnight stay, the Organiser acts solely as an intermediary for another provider’s service. For individual bookings and bookings on request, the Organiser may request a deposit from the Traveller to cover booking costs. If the Traveller accepts the booking, the deposit shall be credited towards the service price. If the service intermediary does not confirm the booking within the agreed period, the deposit shall be refunded to the Traveller in full.
Except in cases of its own gross negligence or neglect, the service intermediary is not responsible for deficiencies, property damage or personal injury in connection with individual travel services arranged at the Traveller’s request where it acts only as an intermediary between the Traveller and direct service providers. Such services include separate accommodation or transport services, tickets to sporting events, excursions, car hire and other services. Upon receipt of confirmation of the contracted separate service, contractual relations take effect exclusively between the Traveller and each individual service provider.
16. PROTECTION OF THE TRAVELLER’S PERSONAL DATA
The Traveller acknowledges that the Organiser has aligned its operations with the Personal Data Protection Act and agrees that the personal data of the Traveller and fellow travellers contained in the travel confirmation and contract, such as the Unique Master Citizen Number (JMBG), travel document number, telephone number, email address and residential postal address, which the Traveller provides voluntarily, constitute the Organiser’s confidential business information and may be used in the manner and under the conditions prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act. The Traveller agrees that the Organiser may use personal data to implement the agreed Travel Programme. Addresses, the destination, dates and price of the trip, and the names of fellow travellers may not be disclosed to other persons, except those specified under special regulations.
17. MANDATORY APPLICATION
The Organiser may provide in the Programme or Special Terms and Conditions of Travel for provisions that differ from these General Terms, owing to the particular conditions and rules of direct service providers or for trips with special content, such as trips connected with sporting events, conferences and similar international events, or special forms of tourism, including school trips, hunting and fishing, extreme sports and other activities. Such provisions form an integral part of the respective Contracts.
The Traveller and the Organiser agree to the jurisdiction of the YUTA Arbitration Court, 14 Kondina Street, Belgrade, for resolving disputes between them, with the application of these General Terms, the YUTA General Terms and Conditions of Travel and the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Agreeing to the jurisdiction of the YUTA Arbitration Court does not deprive the Traveller of the right to initiate proceedings or use a legal remedy to protect their rights in the manner prescribed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia.
The Traveller may initiate out-of-court consumer dispute resolution proceedings before a competent body only if they have first submitted a complaint or objection to the Organiser. The Organiser is obliged to participate in out-of-court consumer dispute resolution proceedings before that body. It must prominently and clearly display, at the point of sale, a notice that it is legally obliged to participate in such proceedings. The Traveller may initiate out-of-court consumer dispute resolution before a body included on the Ministry’s list at mto.gov.rs/tekst/2306/zastita-potrosaca.php.
These General Terms take effect on 21 September 2026, on which date the General Terms published on 8 October 2025 cease to apply.
